Hi - I’m Josh
A UX Designer with a background as a photographer, director, & digital artist based in Brooklyn, NY.
As an artist, I’ve always considered what I do as a form of 'Data Collection' - deconstructing bits of visual and audible information, then reconstructing a story or experience that a brand is trying to communicate.
A pattern I began to notice was the value of stories we told didn't match the experience of using the product. I was tired of constantly asking how we were going to do this and began asking why.
With technology being essential for communication, and let's face it - survival, it's up to designers to show the value of the product in the user's experience. I have a responsibility to design for real-world problems instead of creating more.
That being said, in my free time I'm perfecting the omelet, I loved smoked meats, I make electronic music, and curate a monthly mixtape, Itsu Sounds on Soundcloud.
